SqueezEast 9th June 2024

Slideshow accompaniment - Can't Help Falling in Love by Jean-Paul-Égide Martini (Elvis Presley)
Arranged by Anny Chung
and
The Floral Dance by Kate Emily Barkley (Katie Moss)
Arranged by Paul Barrett

Yet again we had an excellent day, with 40 musicians playing a range of pieces sourced and arranged by our conductor Paul Barrett. There were piccolo, treble, baritone and bass instruments, with a mixture of English, Anglo and Duet concertinas.

People came from East Anglia, the Midlands, the West Country, the North of England and even from Austria! Stilton Pavillion is a good venue, easily accessible and with super acoustics. We were well catered for at breaks with a tempting array of cakes and we thank the talented bakers who made them for us.

We thank all our participants and the organisers and helpers for making the event so enjoyable and we look forward to making more music together on 8th June next year.

Turn on (and off) each player in turn to hear some of the tunes we learnt during the day.
