Slideshow accompaniment - Candlemas Eve, arranged by R. Herrick, Rolling Downwards (Hathersage), arranged by Ian Russell and We Wish You a Merry Christmas
We played at Gressenhall Farm And Workhouse Museum Victorian Family Christmas on Sunday 15 December. The museum is based in a former workhouse, originally opened in 1777 as a 'House of Industry' and now houses exhibitions showing what life was like for those who once lived and worked there.
We performed in the old chapel which was built in 1868. Both our performances were well attended and the children particularly enjoyed providing the bell accompaniment for Jingle Bells. Although the recordings have quite a lot of background noise, we think you can hear how much our audiences enjoyed joining in with the carols and songs.
Turn on (and off) each player in turn to hear some of the tunes and carols we played.
